Good to hear is not something major like the gearbox...since they are pretty glassy, tho car is still stock....shouldnt be alot of strain on it. Will check that asap

Cheers!

If it's just starting to go it will look damp, but be dry to the touch.

Agreed. I found with my old GC8 that you slot second and then it goes into reverse really easy. Obviously do this when you are at a stand still.

When was the last time the clutch was bled? If you are having to pump it I would think theire is air in the line...did the pedal drop straight to the floor with no resistance or feel spongy?

Clutch felt fine, bounces back everytime. Only the box feels rough.

that works or also hold it in reverse and slowly engage the clutch. the synchros will spin a litle and allow the gear to pop in

Ok...Gearbox wont go into 1st 3rd 4th 5th and reverse, it will only get into second gear.

When i do try to select the gears i cant get into...just feels like is blocked. Comes in and out of 2nd fine...can be driven in 2nd as well. So i dont think is the clutch.

Any ideas?

had a prob over the last couple of months with my clutch...

the thrust bearing was fucked and causing the clutch to not engage or disengage fully, this caused major issues in terms of gear changing, yet there was no slippage from the clutch.

there are syncro's that can fuck out in a gear box that'll make shifts hard, but my money is on a fucked thrust bearing or similar.. specially if there are no visible leaks...

8 years is a pretty good run out of a clutch in one of these things....

Yeah, either way ill have to pull the box down and analyze it see wtf is going on...ive been meaning to do the clutch for awhile now...so i might as well do that once i get the box off...

Tho i dont think is the clutch thats causing this problem, i cannot select any gears except 2nd.

Could links cause this problem?
