Default Help with boost controller

I am fitting my electronic Blitz boost controller and it came with no instructions. Everything is connected besides the vaucum line. Where exactly does this need to connect to.

It should split and intercept the wastegate line generally..

* It limits the air that controls the wastegate*

Well think of it this way..
The wastegate controls when the turbo stops spooling (limiter). So to isntall a boost controller to get more boost, you modify the air inlet of the wastegate to modify your boost.. Less pressure, more boost.

(Yes, limit the air going into the wastegate, increase your boost.)

****Factory boost solenoid*****
Must stay in place (plugged into the wiring harness) otherwise you'll get ignition cut above 5psi. (blank off the nipples with a loop of vac line)

*****Factory map sensor*****
Must be retained and be plumbed into a vacuum/ boost source (i.e vac line direct to manifold) otherwise...constant CEL.

I fitted a couple of profec B's to Subaru's.

There is info on the net, google is your friend!

Basic how to:

Clicky

Disregard page 2 (boost cut defender).

Take your time and if unsure get some help.

Many engines have gone 'BOOM' from incorrect fitment/adjustment of boost controllers.

****Strongly suggest you at least obtain instructions on how to set it's settings up properly before you go ahead and fit it.****

Or speak to someone who has a similar car to yours with similar mods, to get some base line settings, things can go wrong fast if the settings are way wrong.

Which Blitz controller do you have?

Setting up a Blitz SBC iD: click

Setting up the Blitz Dual SBC: click

Pearl of wisdom:

"For test purpose, set the boost controller’s boost setting as 0 and the gain setting as 0. Now your car should be boosting to wastegate spring boost level(5-7 psi for wrx). If your car is not boosting near wastegate spring boost level at this point, something during the boost controller install was not done correctly or there might be a mechanical issue with your vehicle."

This basically tells you how to do it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChIMNU90sE4.. I also checked out your video on youtube. Impressive how it climbs the sand hills like that. It would be a lot of fun!

That youtube one was posted after I last looked but makes things easier, make sure you do a photographic "how to" install for all the idiots like me.
Yeah they love the sand, can't wait to get the hatch on the road.
