Dremel existing heads and flow test, freshen up with new parts as required.

I was under the impression that v5-6 sti heads were the same as wrx's of the same era. The only better flowing heads are the spec C heads, but if you were to port/high flow standard heads, you'd have better that Spec C's.

99/00 Oz and JDM WRX/STI heads were identical high flowing big port designs.

All JDM heads have been big port ones even since...
The Spec C variants are always slightly ported straight from STI.

The Oz WRX/STI heads went to small port designs for the 01+ WRX and 02+ STi and stayed that way i believe up till 05.

Great porting is a technical artform, and great gains are to be had with matching cams.
The only person I would recommend is a guy on Rexnet, the name escapes me at the moment....

yes. porting heads is more than just dremeling the heads so they flow the same and have more capacity.

I have always been under the impression that the v3 sti (jdm) are the best heads/cams to get out of all the classics........

ie the lairiest cams done in a sti....

I'm sorry this is wrong.
If they were ported from the factory then they would not still have a cast finish.
