So you guys running 215/35/18s need any guard rolling on a GC8? Looking around at the moment for 18s. Getting hard to find 5x100 rims

Also what's the deal with rim width and offset, what should I be looking for here?

Falken Azenis RT-615 in 225/40/R18 92W

With DMS Coilovers rear guards needed rolling - cannot go super low either.
Nice fat rim protector on these tyres however

I guess that's the trade off, if I get the 215/35/18s I may not need to roll the guards but then the rims won't have much protection...

For the small charge it costs to get the gurads rolled, just get em rolled. It'll be piece of mind if anything.

Of course it will also depend on what offset Rims you have as well.

In my case Prodrive P-WRC1 18x7.5 with a ET46 offset - so I can fit Brembos.
With a ET53 offset in these rims I sure no guard rolling would be needed.

The only thing with rolling the guards is that a panel beater told me that down the track the paint can start to crack around the roll as it gets stretched around the bend... but yeah, if it wasn't for that then I probably would.

Get it done properly and you won't have a drama with paint peeling. It has been done countless times. One panel beaters opinion mate.
