My idle with the untuned PFC is currently rock-solid ---- Better than stock------ cold start is crisper and instant.

Will speak to ASG about the time required.

I've got the same as Mr Sphoolin, but I've never really watched the level properly until tonight so can't comment on a spiking level.

I'll have a look what mine is reading next time I wander into the car. I think I've had this discussion with Sphoolin before about the idle issues with PFC, but I can't say I've ever really noticed.

My Power FC knock reading will often spike up into the high 50s during a good thrashing. Bounce off the limiter and it might hit 60 or so.

Been the same with different motors, different tuners etc. 60 - 70+ is the region you might get a bit worried, I wouldn't even bat an eyelid between 30 - 40 during a good drive.

Nary a mention in the literature though Stace?

I know the Djetro on my R32 gtr does have knock retard that'll retard the ignition a user settable amount of degrees at a user settable threshold... no knock enritchment on that PFC though.

The enritchment would have to be a user settable number of additional injector milliseconds?

my average is about 7-9, often see high knocks (highest i've seen was 82) on full boost but no where close to redline.

initial virgin tune was done in 1 hour by 1 workshop, recently had the car in another workshop on the dyno to diagnose the high knock problem, abit of tweaking and so far i've seen a peak of 11 on full boost all the way to 6500rpm.

mine averages at about 6-10 on hot days and 5-9 on cold nights..

with spirited drivings, it can go up all the way to 14 and on 1 occassion even 20 on full boost.

Sean did the tuning for me and mine is still running on the standard ej205. dunno when this engine will go....

Also tuned by Sean, have seen up to around 65-70 at times. Lately has been around 25-30 with a lot of limiter love.
