Default Airbagged Seat Removal

Hey all,

I manage to get the bus ( MY07 XT ) out on the track a fair bit and to cut a long story short my stock seat sucks arse.

Unfortunately the seat has airbags so if I just swap seats with a nice race seat I'm going to have an unwanted light flashing on my dash and have also heard on the grapevine that the rest of my airbags won't work due to an incomplete circuit or something like that...

I'm wondering if anybody else has changed airbag seats and what have they done to overcome any similar issues.

From what I understand a resistor maybe able to be plugged into the cable to replicate the seat still being there?

I have searched the forum for some auto sparkies which I will contact next week for some input also.

There maybe?? STi seats with airbags but I would prefer a nice race seat if possible!

Cheers.

Yeah, got the usual mixed info about the 08 and even 09 which are going to be hard to get hold of. Thanks for firming up the 07 info

I am a bit of a specialist when it comes to electrics etc (see my thread on blown camera) so if you want I'll rewire the seat
