it does need it though... and improves the look imo...

I ran spacers when I had the 20"s on the wagon with no issues... but that wasn't for an awfully long time!?

Bump this up...

For proper spacers, i.e. bolt the spacer to the hub and the spacer has new studs for your wheels, what exactly is the problem with them?

Also, can anyone confirm why they are yellow sticker / no insurance? Or is that all a myth? I believe factory Porsches come with them...

Lastly, who stocks them in Perth? :D

scary 16-11-2010 02:02 PM

wilko's stock them

Strubaru 16-11-2010 02:03 PM

i've seen them sitting on the counter of swan tyres a while ago

AWDmoke 16-11-2010 02:30 PM

Yes, some Porsches came with them from the factory e.g. 928S4
If factory fitted then they are road legal, otherwise they aren't.
"For track use only" I've had no problems with thin spacers.

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE STUD EXTENDERS (the hex type that screw over your existing studs).
They are made of cheese & can be stripped easily, even by someone with office hands.

Kato 16-11-2010 02:33 PM

Nah, not keen on homo spec stud extenders or even longer stud bolts. But the properly designed kits look ok for street use.

I'm sure I've even seen them advertised in Motor recently...
