anything but hubcentric spacers is foolish
|
thanx for the help guys, also :) have a set of starcorp racing wheels for sale if anyone is interested will let em go for $200 need to get rid of em
|
hey guys im thinking of putting in 8mm spacers just on the rears want abit more of it sticking out there normal studs and i read up hear that you wouldnt go anymore then 10 mm on your normal studs but would like to know some more opinions the car is a 04 wrx with rota grid wheels lowered on coilovers
|
I have run spacers befor but they were 3 mm I would not run anything bigger on stock studs as I found out there is not much thread to hold the rim onto hub with a 5mm spacer.unless you are going to go Bolt on spacers I would not be trying this on stock studs they are just too short
|
iv read up and a few people have said no more then 10 you will be alright and but yea im kind of stuck on what to do cause i just want the wheels to stick out a bit more
|
Hmmm ... Thought of rim snapping off at speed versus better looks ...
No brainer to me. |
yea i have would i be able to get longer studs?
also i know another perth wrx member that has 8mm on his normal studs for over 8 months with no drama |
No drama til there is one then no insurance.
There are some cosmetic mods I can justify - I can't justify wheels spacers when you can get rims with a more appropriate offset. My 2 cents. |
I have thought of running 15mm Bolt on spacers they will push rim to guards but have now decided to run 17x9 rims instead to give me that hella hella flush look much safer than spacers and I still will have insurance

Chasing a set of hubcentric wheel spacers - 114.3 pcd - 10mm-15mm thickness.
For track use only. |
