Default Auto Forester Query

Posting on behalf of a friend, bought a 2nd hand 04 XT Forester (auto).

Do any XT owners out there have a small vibration that is loud enough to hear like a harmonic noise in the cabin, that only occurs when just on very light throttle (ie maintaining speed on flat ground), and goes away when you starting coasting (ie going down a liight incline)?

Posted here because I'm not sure if the auto box is shared among other Subies & if anyone has had the problem/knows what it is?

Car is stock as a rock (for now).

Thats what i was thinking. But would it only wobble or harmonic when on light throttle? What about when not accelerating?

could be the gearbox mount, there was a group buy on onfoz for inserts to put into the stock mount to stiffen them up

my mrs' auto '00 liberty rx does the same
