Buy 2, replace both. If one has failed surely you would want to make sure the other one won't go 2 weeks after you fix the first one?

Order from subaru dealership, just give them your VIN number and your sorted. Make sure you get the heads machined.

18 different types....lol. That's a parts man being a pain, including gaskets to suit every Subaru ever made. EJ20 has only 2 different variations of steel gasket I've ever seen.
Subaru sell the gaskets individually.

PM me your VIN number and I'll grab the oem part number for you tonight.
(I have Subarus parts system on my home Pc)

It'll only take me 2 mins to get the part number.

If you approach a dealer with a part number they won't be d!cks.

Subaru (& Nissan for that matter) use the FAST parts sytem. Without a vin it will list every headgasket for any Impreza.....you can't manually put a year range in....

Ring Regents on Scabs Beach Road, Oz Park and ask for John in Spare Parts.

The mans a guru on spare parts, no need for a vin. Just tell him your model.
Also replace both head gaskets, your deck height will be uneven otherwise.
