I don't think that will cut the mustard if TJ ever sits in it
Drill the old one out and Rivnut it, or weld a nut in there.
Better than being a rough cnut and hammering a bigger bolt in there.

I wouldn't trust a rivnut on a seat mount even if you could get one in M10, (M8 is the biggest thin sheet rivnut I've seen)
It happens fairly regularly on Subaru seat mounts, some hamfisted bugger crossthreads the bolt and the captive nut breaks off the inside of the mount channel.
Two choices, either weld a nut to a piece of steel plate, then weld the plate to the front of the seat mount channel in the floor with the nut to the rear, ie; flat side upwards. This is the best way if the floor is cracked or broken from being driven with a loose seat for some time.
The other way is easier if the floor section is in good condition other than the nut being broken off the back. weld a piece of stiff wire (like a coathanger) to a bolt or nut and stick the nut/bolt up the inside of the channel using the wire to hold it. Using a nut on the wire is a bit harder but gives you an original look when done, a bolt makes lining the hole up easier but looks a bit ugly once done.

Ugly isnt an issue, ill mount a fire extinguisher in front of the seat anyhow.

Andy reckons its pretty munched, so welding a nut might have to be the way to go.

Begs the question, who can do something like that?

mms did one for me when my extinguisher bracket assisted me in cross threading and then snapping it.
