Default White smoke

Hey there

lately(the past day) i ave noticed that under boost
i ave white smoke coming out the exhuast.
b4 this started the car has seemed very sluggish and doesn't pull has hard under boost.
ASG looked at it last friday and they thought that it is fine, but since then the engine has gotten noiser and the past day, smoke has started coming out the exhaust.

Does any1 have any ideas what could be causing this?????????

Could be a busted turbo mate. A busted turbo will leave white smoke coming from the exhaust and most likley not pull as hard.

Hey mate,
how recently was that verso tune you got done by them that you were telling me about last week? And how old was the turbo you popped in (or was it second hand?)

Also, Tom [WhiteRX] had a problem with white smoke about a year ago (what a memory I have). Turned out to be oil I think... he'd switched recently to something he shouldn't have.. if memory serves.

In any case, Ross tell us what's wrong, how to fix it and the exact part numbers please. You have till noon Saturday.

Trying to be a smart ass?

In order of likelyness:

1. Turbo seal gone or going to lunch.
2. Ping, ping!..... Ring lands.
3. Oil overfull causing excessive blowby/ oil build up in intercooler
4. Oil breaking down and burning off. (the issue Tom had?)
5. Stuck PCV valve (similar issue to #3)

Is it constant when on boost or just a puff?

(Just for ALEX.) Parts required to repair:

Any one of the following items:
VF34
EJ207 Short motor
Mobil1 5w-50

Default White smoke

pretty much the whole time under boost, as soon as i saw the smoke i eased up and since then haven't let it come on2 boost.

The re-tune was prob bout 6 weeks ago. i wouldn know bout the turbo though cause i bought the car with it already installed, SATURATION?????

The car has/was running fine till bout 4 weeks ago wen water got on the AFM and the car wouldn't start. After bout an hour the car eventually started and since the car has been really flat.

I have taken it 2 ASG, but they reckon that it is fine.

Another thing is that the car is going through fuel quicker then i can fill it.

Could it be a combination of the AFM and the turbo???
