6-speed feeling a bit crunchy
anyone have issues with their 6-speed where 4th gear feels very crunchy - especially on fast shifts - almost feels like the synchros are slipping?
5th gear feels the same. the box hasnt had the oil replaced for some time now, I think the oil i put in it last time was Penrite Sin or something... What oil are ppl putting in their 6-speeds? Iv had the Redline shockproof shit in there... i can still see the blue after 3 oil changes already. Last edited by waxdass; 28-08-2009 at 11:33 AM. |

Mine did start to feel a bit notchy before the last oil change. Mostly when cold 1st & 2nd gears. Put some Motul FF type 2 in and all gone. Just starting to get a little notch again 18 months later. Think they might just like telling you when it is time to change the oil.
If it's really bad then well go an oil change first and hope for the best.

Don't know. Race Torque sourced it at my request. Few of the Rexnet boys that weren't to keen on the Smurf snot were pretty keen on it so thought I'd go the same way.
