Default Engine Infomation

Hi There i just did a compression test on my EJ20T JDM import, it says it's from a early V1 WRX so i guess thats 93/94, anyways the test came back goo i think. 3 of the 4 were at 180pis and the 4th was 170psi, so i'm not too worried.

what i would like to know is i am having massive cut off under full throttle, i found out 2 of my coils were cracked so i did the coil mod and now i have 03 coils fitted, drove it again and it was a little better but still doing it s i will check the wires again, the car comes with Gtrey top injectors on the engine. my old ej20 i took out (non turbo) has red top's, are these better should i fit the red tops to the car.?

Thanks in advance for help.

Sounds like it's hitting the boost cut (almost head-butting the dash when it cuts??)....

yeah, but it was like a rev limiter at first but at about 4.5k RPM, now it's a lot smother with the new coils but it's still got a little bit, say 3rd gear 3k rpm just put your foot down and it will start lurching like it's miss firing.

No Nothing.

everything i read said it was the cracked coil. so now i'll just wait for the glue to set on the conectors and try that.

All sorted thanks everyone.

If no one knows which injectors are better i'll just stay with the grey tops and not worry about it.

Thanks

I'd expect the N/a injectors would be smaller than the ej20t ones.
