Default Afm

Okay so my afm was stuffed so i sprayed this stuff that my friend gave me on it and it fixed it for about 2 weeks and because it has been christmas and new year i have not been able to do alot.
My cousin gave me his stock afm from his 99/00 but my plug seems too be diffrent because its not a stock one i was just wondering if i could cut the wires and put the stock plug back on and then go ahead and put his one on there. The only thing im confused about is because they look a little diffrent and his is off a 99/00 and im still yet too find it if mine is actually a my99 like the insurance comany said when i gave them my vin or its a 98 or should it be the same bare with me i dont know alot about the car yet
thanks matt

In between the front and rear passenger (I'm pretty sure it's passenger) door it says the build date of your car. Late 98 equates to a MY99.

You're right, i just went out to check and the 99/00 doesn't even have the big block to put a sticker on.

^^ Thats what the my99/00 plug looks like.

I remember getting an AFM with a green sticker when i got one for the 98. Had to send it back. Somewhere along the line i got the impression it was for a 99/00.
