Wondering if anyone has cleaned out the inside of their intercooler and how they went about it. Iv got a catch can I'm going to install but figure cleaning the intercooler can't do any harm. Any help is much appreciated.

If you are cleaning the outside. Use soapy water with a very soft bristle brush like a tooth brush to get the dead bugs out from between the fins.
For cleaning the inside. Remove the intercooler and pour half a litre of petrol into it and slosh it around so it flows over all the internal surfaces. Drain it out and repeat until the petrol comes out clear. Then let it dry out before re-installing back into the car.

Sweet, thats kind of what I was thinking for the inside, except I was thinking of using turps. Just tapping into the knowledge pool before having a crack!
