LOL. Had a similar problem with my Laser years ago. Stuck thermostat so
I would turn the heater on flat stick with the windows all down. Bought the
temp down just enough to allow me to drive it to get it looked at.

Cracked Radiator Tanks?

Subaru do use plastic tanks do they not?

Could be leaking from Top tank.

When the same problem arose a few months back I took it straight to Melville and they diagnosed it as a cracked hose, so it's either another hose or something else.

Haha no I'm not going to keep driving it, I just need some sort of an idea as to what's going on so I can take it back and make them look properly so it doesn't keep happening.

im finding lately that they are diagnosing a problem with our car and 2/3 times later they actually locate the real problem.

I normally pAY attention to my temp and the one time i didnt it spiked had to get the car towed and new radiater put in. I had coolant spewing everywhere. Not saying thats your prob as the guys are all thinking something different. Im just hopping on the get the car to mechanic asap wagon if it ends up being same as mine and you keep driving youll f@#k the engine.

Good luck hopefully its only minor

If you like paying alot more than you should and like
mis-diagnosising of your problems then keep going to
Subaru, if you want a fair price and the problem located
straight away I suggest visiting a Subaru specialist workshop.

Just pick any one of them from the workshop thread.
