Question Fuel Pump

hey guys, im gettin verso tune next week, now im wondering if its worth the extra 300 bux to get a walbro fuel pump too? does it have much effect on the hp on the dyno or is it just more for reliability, and that they can pump more fuel if they need to?

any ideas?

Your stock fuel pump is 8-9 years old (if you have a bugeye).

Replacing it with a brand spanking Walbro is cheap insurance if you ask me!

More supporting mods, better performance results. Or better capability to perform

Around 150ish supply. (Walbro 255L/hr in tank jobby). Then DIY, 15 - 30 mins. No 'gains' to be had per-say - but knowing you have headroom for future increased fuel demand is a good thing.

Brent.

You can DIY it a bit cheaper... I'd say once you buy the part and factor in your labour time it will still cost $200-250 all up.

Or you can get it done by people who do this all day every day for $300.

For me, fuel is what makes the engine go... for the extra $50 I'd rather get someone to do it right and not have any issues down the line.

The last thing you want is a simple item like a fuel pump to pack in and cause a much more expensive failure...
