Default subaru all wheel drive system

Hey all I am trying to find some info/pics of how the subaru all wheel drive system works. for example why are there three diffs and how does it put the power down. I have a GC8 so I am more interested in non-DCCD than the DCCD system. If anyone could put me onto some info that would be great

and before I get flamed I have used the search but I still couldnt find anything.

Thanks

http://www.howstuffworks.com/differential.htm

Read that.

You have 3 diffs as you have driving wheels at the front (1 diff), driving wheels at the back (1 diff) and need to connect the two together (1 diff).

DCCD is just an adjustable center diff. So instead of being 50:50 split as per a non-dccd model, you can adjust it to 35% front and 65% rear (or whatever the limits of the dccd are - new models have less to the rear).

Viscous centre diff explained:

P.s. Dccd is the same as non-dccd except the centre diff has a variable locking electronic clutch pack.

once you've read through it all, realise that stock WRX's come with the shittest possible diffs. if you want to completely change the handling of the car, diffs are the way to go!
