Default Question about Key Pad and flashing key

was driving around last night and theres a few things that are starting to confuse me a bit.

if my car is on and i take my seatbelt off and step out of the car, should the anti-hijack system shut the car down once i get back in it? i notice that once i hop back into the car, it starts beeping at me as i start driving off. mate of mine owns a WRP10 and he doesnt have this problem so im not too sure what to do about it???

also, should the key light be flashing while driving? read up in the manual about it but according to the book it says it should only flash if the car isnt started. would this just be a lose connection? only worried about this because the first time it happened the car stalled and then i couldnt start it for about 2mins and when i did it just stalled again. had to turn the car off, take the key out and punch in the code to get it goin. not sure if this would be related to it because later last night i drove around with it flashing and nothing happened? ...

just a lil confused so if someone knows what im on about and can help that would be great

Well 1s u leave the car and get back in, the anti-hijack should kik in because if u really is being hijacked its tha same as u being pulled out and somebdy gettin back in and driving off. About flashing, don't think that it flashes when driving. If it starts beeping at you, jus shut the car off, turn the car 2 start, punch the code in then start the car. Should be fine starting like that. But I will b gettin it removed bocs it is jus a not reliable system. It happened 2 me 1s that the brant was acting up and causing me 2 stall on the freaken freeway. Scary...

1. Car beeping at you is the anti hijack kicking in. That is to let you know to stop and restart the car (with the PIN) as it will shut down. If you keep going, the car will shut down.

2. Key light should not flash. Talk to a Subaru dealer or Subaru workshop about this.

If you can afford it have it ripped out and replaced with an
Autowatch system with keypad, speak to Macey "Bumpstop"
if your keen.

Stephan, if you're interested in Autowatch, anti-hijack, turbo timer integration etc I can help you out. Might be easiest to give me a call though. I'll shoot you over a pm

Autowatch is less likely to kill you than brant, some members can tell you
of the scary episodes Brant has caused by shutting the car down at random
times!!!

The Brant's sually they have alot of problems in general though.
