Default Mysterious coolant leak

Hi guys,
Have this silly coolant leak coming from somewhere but for the life of me cannot locate where its coming from. It doesnt seem to be coming from the top or bottom rad hose, and not from the radiator either.

It sprays onto the front engine cover and onto the idler pulley, i wipe it then drive around the block and its back.. any ideas?

Tried to get into a radiator shop today but they were all booked

Cheers

If its coming from the timing cover, its most likely to be your water pump. How many KMs has your car done? If you haven't done the 100,000km service, best bet is do the pump and timing belt with all seals and idlers.

What am i meant to be looking for in the second picture.

could be a pinhole leak on the bottom of the rad hose, start the car up with the bonnet open & look around as it presurises the system, this is all a rad shop will do

Cheers guys..
Umm car has done ~89k and timing belt has already been done by ASG bout 7k ago when they replaced some noisy idlers from memory - would be shit if its water pump :/

2nd pic was splatters on the top cover yeah, sorry bout the bad pics..

I've had the car running while hot and watched/sqeezed the bottom and top rad pipes but couldnt see any pinhole leaks.. Will keep an eye on it I guess and try again

It's always best to do the water pump when you do the timing belt, as all the gear is off anyway and it's simple to get to it.

Might not be the water pump if its spraying that high up. Take the plastic cover off that covers the alt pulley and have a closer look.

3-4 10mm or 12mm bolts and you will have it off.

check the water pipes running from the water pump to the heater hoses behind the timing cover and over the engine, also check the piping to the oil cooler, there are a few small hoses that could have split. is the radiator spraying from a small leak in the core?
