Other than that, no.

If you are the DIY sort of person and don't have the cash to shell out for an upgraded ECU you can always buy a Tactrix cable and use the (free) OpenECU programs (Romraider, ECUedit etc) to make changes to your ECU whenever you change anything or even just to see whats going on with it. Lots of info, maps, change details, support etc available on the OpenECU forums.

only problem is the my99 isnt a good candidate for editing the ECU
the only real alternative is a power fc/autronic/motec

Ahh yes, didn't see the MY99 at first glance. I ended up going Ecutek on my MY99 but there wasn't anywhere near the amount of options available back then as there is now (or at least there may have been but I certainly wasn't aware of them)

You did a search and didnt uncover much...?

http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/mechanicals/492-ihi-turbos-specs-faq.html

^ 20 pages of IHI info.

And I reckon I could find a 'couple' of GC8's of the 99/00 vintage... with a VF34 on there. So you could gauge some idea of what lag/performance/numbers would be like...

Get the 34 over the 22. Get the P20 rear if you do. You have the fmic, cooling is therefore sorted. Get some Power FC management, (Ross or someone will confirm if your car can have this - im not sure). And you should be on your way to happiness...

Brent.
