Yeah I have spoken to the service manager, the dealer principle and AHG corporate.

They say they have only done the minor service.

Those 3 things on my bill would have added nearly $200, nice little earner on every car. No wonder they call them stealerships!

It's a pity they do it,because i'm actually very happy with the work they did. But now i wont go back
Funny, because I have had quite the opposite experience with City Subaru. Had the 60k service done and whilst they had it, asked them to debug a problem causing CEL. They would have spent time trying to diagnose the problem but did not charge me a penny more than the standard service charge.

To top it off, they gave the interior a mini detail and cleaned the rims during tyre rotation.

Although, they did draw smileys on my service sticker, in my handbook and on the feedback card - FTL... lol

Consumer affairs have got back to me. The dealer won't budge, they say I need to take it to the magistrates court and think that I have a strong case under the fair trading act. It seems consumer affairs can't do much other than to try and mediate.

Having it heard at a Magistrate's court is all well and good, but it could take up to/over a year to actually be heard...I am assuming you would want to get the service done before then?

Given the OP was over a month ago, I would think it is safe to say it is already done.

I haven't had it done yet I thought that I would have sorted this out by now with Osb Park. I am looking into the magistrate option, if its a loser pays court cost system I will go for it.

Just as I jump into my flame suit, if the information you have provided is correct (and I have no reason to doubt it) the dealership has definately done the wrong thing. Either way you need to put a value on your own time. i.e. rather than go to the magistrates court etc just go and do the service yourself. If they have done the minor service that is probably $70 less that you are going to need to spend. i.e. engine oil and filter.

Just remember that you will need someone to help you bleed the brakes.

me; you've charged me for coolant change, didn't my wife tell you it had a new motor in it (warranty).
them; oh thats right, sorry, i'll get that taken off
me; (taking a closer look at the bill) um, whats this $70 buck charge for transfer case oil? my car doesn't have a transfer case.
them; oh, how did that happen, i'll get that taken off
me; and whats this $85 charge for wheel balance and alignment, i never asked for that?
them; um, um, it was on the job sheet when it came through this morning
me; but i never asked for it
them; i went through the job sheet with your wife this morning
me; (unable to contact my wife at the time) alright, lets just finalize the bill then.

Spoke to the wife later, and yes they did tell her about it, but didn't tell her it was going to cost extra.
I also noticed 3 other job sheets on the counter, all with the wheel balance and alignment charge. What a scam, automatically putting it on the job sheet and hoping people are in a hurry or dont have enough of a clue!
They tried to tell me that my water pump was broken and it was leaking coolant everywhere. Tried to get me to do another service worth 1k, took it to ASG for a second opinion, they did a full pressure test for a day on it and told me there was nothing wrong with it and it was completely fine. Also never charged me a cent to have that work done.

Subaru OP also tried the same thing on with my mum on her ~50,000km service, we didn't believe them after the last stunt pulled and just settled the bill and left.
