Basically the lights in my cluster and centre console aren't working.
Headlights are and I have checked the fuses in the box.
Any ideas?

i know the old school gc8's have little globes that are pretty easy to replace...

try them

have u moved the dimming switch thats on your indicator stalk?

Yes tried the dimmer. Starting to strip my way thru the dash.

oh ok, we get customers in all the time that have accidently moved it complaining there lights arent working...
did you check all the fuses? subaru's seem to link alot of circuits, and sometimes an unrelated circuit can affect another

I have been having a similar prob but it is intermittent. Almost certain the prob is in the indicator stalk. I have a spare that I need to fit to diagnose the prob.

these globes are a pain in the ass to get hold of, i was chasing a couple to replace the ones behind my fan aircon/heater controls and could not get hold of them, i tried conventry's, supercheap, malz, auto one and even subaru melville and even they could not get them, i ended up just buying a couple small globes from supercheap and actually soldering them in,

5 globes in the cluster, all are good on 12v. Hks gauges are illuminating when I turn the lights on, just not anything else :S

if it were one or two lights i'd say the globe, but if every single thing on the dash isn't working its either got to be a fuse in one of the two fuse boxes or a plug that has come loose/cut wires etc from rubbing to knock them all out

have you tried the dimmer control module? I think it is on the LH side of the dash. also check that no after market wiring is shorting the dimmer circuit, which can also happen. What is the voltage going to any of the globe holders for the dash lights?
