Default What is this warning light?

This has been an issue for the last 6 months or so,

When I'm doing above 140 for any more then about 30 seconds I get this warning light on the dash (Top Left of pic) It stays on till I slow back down to 100ish and I cant reat Japanese so want to know:

What is it telling me? Is my car going to die if I sit at that speed all day?

I assume it is something to do with exhaust/cat temps or O2 sensor.

Can someone shed some light or ideas on what it is, if its a big issue and how to get rid of it.....

Car is stock 95 RA with TBE.

Cheers

Riggs

I think it is the cat over temp. Could be wrong but have seen it before on JDM models.

Seeing as you have a TBE I would be questioning where the temp probe is for the CAT, if thta is what it is.

The old (Stock) dump pipe had 2 sensors, one just after the turbo, one just before the cat. Had to weld a fitting in the bottom of the new dump for it.

The exact same symbol is used in JDM Toyotas for "Radiator Temp Sensor" but is an orphan in the system, ie not used, although the wiring & light is in place for the sensor. Dunno if that helps.

Sif slow down.

So cat could be blocked, or stuffed. Will replace with new cat *ahem* less pipe and see what happens.
