Default Jerky ride!

Hey people,

I dont know what this is, but the car only really likes to accelerate or deccelerate, not travel at a constant speed/RPM.

When i try to maintain a certain speed, as i move the accelerator to a constant position the car seems to be quite jerky. Not a comfortable ride at all.

Can any one point out some ideas why this would happen.

Cheers.

Lloyd

Do you know what ecu you have?

Also having read your intro thread, the car had suffered water ingestion, so the history of the engine is somewhat morbid. Might need a subaru specialist to give it a once over.

If as Scary mentions you're driving with antilag on, yes. There would be a switch to engage it, usually using the foglight switch or in that panel. But its hard to know really. My advice, take it to a subi specialist.

In the time you went for a quick drive pushing random buttons, you could have seen a Subaru specialist workshop and had them tell you exactly what is going on.

We can only guess on here without seeing the car.

If you are in Rivervale, you have RMS and STechnic around the corner from you (I would see Doug at STechnic myself).

I'd say the water ingestion wouldn't have helped too much.. get it checked out by a workshop.
