Default backfiring on intake

hey guyes my bug everynow and then back fires through the intake, checked the timing belt timing and is dead on.
Also now my fuel consumption has gone through the roof i use to get around 140-160km per quarter of a tank depending on how i drove it, now im getting 100km driving it like a baby. Checked for fuel leeks and theres none that i can see or smell
Does anyone know what can cause this?
Mods are 3inch tbe, cai, warbo fuel pump, silicon intake, atmosphric bov, catless up-pipe and verso tune.
Sorry for the long right up.
Matt.

fuel consumption gone up after the mods, or have the mods been on for a while and it all of a sudden increased?

Atmo BOV destroys fuel consumption, ditch it for STD one.
