FMIC ftw. Get it done properly. Flip the cooler and run the pipes under the headlights. 2 inch hot side pipe and 2.5 inch cold side.

Its barely any laggier than a TMIC because the piping is short and small diameter. And will give heaps of headroom for future mods.

If you're a tightarse, chuck on a good second hand 02-07 STI TMIC unit. Go for a 08+ STI if you can find one. They will happily support up to 250kw atw when combined with the correct air splitter shroud under the bonnet.

Why is it only wrx owners who fap over this perceived lag issue with fmics?

Stick the radiator in the boot, low mount the turbo and fill the radiator space with a cooler and flip the manifold. No lag, lots of power

I still go past, its just got a more moto GP sound to it, hah. Goes faster too Should of heard her when she had a bung out the extractors. John Deere would be dancing in his grave! Ask Simmo7 and Hurtenstien.

Plus my old car is still in the neighbourhood. Actually closer to your house then it used to be!
