Default Advantages of STI Lower control arms

Hey guys,

Whats the go with the STI ones over the standard steels ones? is it just for the weight advantage or is there more to it than that? also, if you have a whiteline ALK already and steel LCAs can you use that same alk with the alloy ones?
hahaha and one more, if you've already got a LCA H brace, are the alloy ones going to make any difference at all?
