Default recent Rotor and Pad upgrade

Hi Folks just has some DBA slotted rotors and "MRT" sports pads put on my 2010 WRX sedan.
Only issue i.m finding about 10 times the amount of brake dust all over my rims. I'm very pedantic with my Enkei Japanese made rims I like to look after them but would also hate to have to clean them daily.
My question. Is it the "slotted" nature of the rotor shearing more dust off the pads when braking or would it be the aftermarket "sports" pad creating all the extra dust?. In one day I have more brake dust than in a week on stock Rotors and Pads.

thanks in advance

The harder you want to stop the more dust you will generate.

EBC greenstuff/redstuff pads promote themselves as being dustless. But if you want to stop more efficiently, prepare to clean rims more often.

That's the compromise.

Default brake pads

Endless SSM is a good pad if you are worried about the dust.

It's the pads, not the rotors...performance pads generally = most dust...

yeah I'm am not braking anymore than previously so its a direct comparison between stock and aftermarket. Yeah was looking at redstuff pads....do they sell locally and is there a specific pad for the WRX or are they generic?

Cheers

Hey man, I have dba 4000's and ferodos 2500's and my rims are meant to be gloss black. I get heaps of brake dust so they actually appear charcoal. If I clean them (use many rags as one wipe turns them black) they will look awesome and shiny but will be charcoal by the next day. I don't even brake hard. But charcoal still looks ok so I don't bother so much. At least the dust evenly covers it so you wouldn't know its dirty. Maybe switch to black rims too :P
