Default MY95 Gearshift Re-bush

Hi, has anyone had any luck re-bushing the gear shift linkage on an early model (version1-2) STi . I have installed the bush on the gearbox to shifter base mount (the ultrex blue type) which improved the forward/backward motion, but still have sloppy side to side action. Have been missing gears (probally the driver!). I have tried to search for an aftermarket part but there only seems to be kits for later model rex's. Also tried Subaru parts to try to buy a whole new linkage but we could not find the correct part, also tried to look for thr part # online, maybe some one knows it ?
Thanks

Part # for the linkage is 35047AC030. Perfectly good upgrade because the bushes are more than likely worn out & Subaru has designed it so they aren't replaced easily. US$42 from www.subarugenuineparts.com.

Aftermarket one is a TurninConcepts version, basically replaces the riveted part with a bolt so those bushes are replaceable. Kinda useless & costs $130 from Entra (& not available until Feb 2011) ...so by the time the replacement OEM is worn out & needing replacement (few years) you'll still be spending less than buying 1 TiC link. Your choice. http://www.entra.com.au/store.php?vi...=14&category=4

I just got the OEM version, yet to install but it's very tight & firm...imagining a big improvement.

Currently also talking to someone about doing a parts exchange & modding the stock link if possible.

Also while your there check the bushes where the shifter meets the rod in the car. They can get worn or just disappear & contribute to side to side movement.
