valid point there spanner81, would be worth investigating if you can use a gd sti manifold & flip it round for less pipework for a fmic & to also get rid of the wasted spark coilpack setup

not sure how laggy that turbo would be, its quite a monster, would be worth requesting dyno sheets to see

Strubaru, correct me if im wrong but i think that motor is a closed deck ej22 with v6 heads. and im not sure if the gd manifold bolts onto the v6 head?, also julz you might want to check if the gd manifold is symetrical like the gc maniolfds as i dont think the gd manifold is, hence the reason most go for the cosworth manifold and reverse that?.

If someone could shed some light on this?

yeah, i'm not sure about the details of the block, or the differences between the gc & gd manifold to head bolting patterns

Julz, You have to ask your self would you like a My00 strocker model motor in your My05 wrx? generally people put a later model motor in a earlier model car, not sure but isnt illegal to go the other way round?

Why not sell up and by "undergrounds" spec c conversion ? its got everything you want plus more and has potential.

what is this? is it block and heads? all built? where can i find info on it?

Im in no rush to get something so im open to all options, i want fairly big power, pretty much a strong well build block/heads as a starting point so it wont become to much of a weak point in the future.

another option would be to throw $20k at jeff and buy his limited edition 06 spec c with 1000k's on it then strip your car to a shell and replace EVERYTHING .... this will give you a bulletproof package that goes hard, stops hard and everything in between, then sell all your standard stuff to re-coup some of the cost

Perhaps cast your eye over MSR or PMS websites... (East coast).

There are others. Its all of a matter of dollars. (JUN, AXIS, etc etc).

Brent.
