I think top is better because there isn't needed to have all that long piping like the front mount.
Front is just for looks i'm guessing i mean in proformance wise top is better.
well thats my opinion.

dude do you have any idea what you've just started.

you must drive like a nanna then

fmic's have to increase lag. no ifs buts or guesses. its not possible to pressurise an extra 3meters of 2-3" pipework and a 76x300x600 core to 20 odd psi in the same time it takes to pressurise a top-mount.

how about a barrel cooler

Good for bling
Lag comes from the compressed turbo air having to travel longer "distances"
The Nitros, cools the fins and subsequently the air its cooling

There's heaps of post on issues regarding TMIC vs FMIC
and let's face it, FMIC always has bling. And its always nice to have ppl asking,
"You got a FMIC"
"Yeah"
"What you running? Something big hey"
"Nah, just a TD04"
"What's that? Is that a big mutha of a turbo"
"Yeah it is. It gives me 200kw atw with stock internals, pump, injectors. and running a chip."
"Awesome mate. Wanna drag?"

god-damn jimmah, u gave away the secret of my choc locks!

that's wild, soul glow wild!

my experiences with fmic's is one of ever increasing lag. started with an A'PEXi GT Spec with a tdo4 and extra 500rpm or so, swapped to a vf22, this gained an additional 1000rpm bringing it to just under 4000rpm. Greddy R-Spec with a T67, 4800rpm....reversed intake manifold, finally got it going the other way, 4500rpm. If you don't mind a bit of lag, then a fmic is for you.

bit of headerwrap, ceramic coat and wastegate tension will help with lag issues aswell.

Hahaha, yeah I drive like a nanna, I granny shift most of the time.

My full boost with old setup (Vf34) was 3,500rpm with AVO TMIC. With AVO400s and APS FMIC, full boost is 3,600rpm. I can't really notice the minute difference in lag.

APS FMIC = 600x240x65.

Cheers,
