Default Front Mount vs Top Mount??

What do you think is better and why? on WRX only

I think top is better because there isn't needed to have all that long piping like the front mount.
Front is just for looks i'm guessing i mean in proformance wise top is better.
well thats my opinion.

I heard that the front mounts created a fair bit of lag, so top mounts would be more efficient. Someone may be able to confirm this...

The top mounts are meant to be good for up to 350BHP. Anything over this and you will need a front mount.

From memory, Steve at AVO recommends a FMIC when you have 180kw+.

^^^^ Thats nice for Steve to suggest that, but in reality, there is no hard and fast rule. Each can work well in all situations, there are some situations where one is better than the other, but at the end of the day it is personal driver preference. Try to get a drive of both types of setups and decide for yourself.

I prefer FMIC because I think it works better in hot summer days, so far we've had a few 45 degree days so I can only imagine how hot it is under the bonnet.

I also don't think FMIC is laggy at all, I don't notice any extra lag with my APS FMIC (with AVO400s), in comparison to the previous AVO TMIC (previous setup VF34).
