Default Genuine V Non-Gen Fluids

Bout to get the 50K service done by a mate on my 07 GTB 6spd and curious about what fluids (if any) must be replaced with the genuine Subaru ones as I have used the dealership twice so far and wont be doing that again.

I have heard that the coolant should definitely be kept Subie spec, but others (diffs, gearbox etc..) can be other brands...all fluids are replaced on this service and I would like to run the best for the car obviously, but I don't want to re-mortgage my house unnecessarily to pay for the service either!

I can't seem to find anything on the threads about the coolant particularly (sorry if I've missed a blinder) so comments, advice, past experiences and any other info would be much appreciated!

Thanks, I had a feeling that was the way to go with all the info I could find and phone calls made...can you get the concentrated stuff anywhere other than Subaru? Anyone know ball park costs so I know no one's bending me over?

if you want a aftermarket concentrate coolant it should be $30-$40 for a 5l bottle which will make 10l when mixed with water (50/50 mix)
Make sure to use distilled water when using concentrated coolant.

I got a quote for some stuff yesterday from bunbury subaru, genuine coolant sells for $56.11 down here

Strubaru: Make sure you have your VIN number when you go in (if you dont take your car) and make sure they check the wheel stud/nut against that, otherwise you might get the wrong nuts. I got some a while ago, and only found out after theyd been ordered in that the nuts listed against a GC8 wrx didnt have the little domes on.

The proper wheel nuts with the dome on are about $9 each, and studs about $3-$4 i think...
