what do u mean by hard change, like fast changing? if so how does that break it just changing gears? So this mean i can launch it of the line with no worries? i thought that was a no no

Shifting hard = smashing it from gear to gear = broken overshift stoppers/smashed synchro's that then get pulled through the constant mesh gears ending in catastrophic gear failure

Clutz skills = releasing the clutch before the gear is engaged properly i.e clunky shifting

launching requires a specific technique....Take up the slack in the driveline with the friction point of the clutch, then rapidly but smootlhy release the clutch.

In short, Avoid shock loading the box.

Hard engine braking literally 'screws' the gears apart (due to their helical tooth profile) & shears the back loaded teeth off their hub.
