Differences between GC and GD factory BCS's
Hi all,
I'm after info on what the differences are if any there is between the Factory Boost control solinoids on the GC to GD models, for example different plugs and brackets etc? Reason I ask is Grimmspeed do their version of the 3port BCS and they apparantly only fit from 02 up and no GC's and I was wondering if it was just a matter of brackets that were different so they could be used. I've sent off an email to GS but the US never really had turbo GC's so I don't know if they will have any answers to this, So any info would be a great help. Cheers, Wayne

The difference is the GC is a 2 port solenoid, GD is a three port.
With simple mods you can run the three port on a GC (all MAC valves are three port). With GC's they have everything (BCS, MAP sensor & change over solenoid) hanging off the one bracket. Gd's have the MAP sensor mounted directly to the throttle body & the bcs mount is different.

Cheers for that Rossco, that's the info I was looking for.
So what kind of simple modifications are we talking about to fit the GD ones to a GC?

A quick re-route of the vac lines is all that's needed.
Pm Damo for a pic of his Mac setup on his GC?
