I was speaking to Norm yesterday about getting a custom butler exhaust done on a MY11 and he says he's struggling to make a dump pipe for them. He said the only car that he's tried, he had to use the standard dump..something about not being able to get it align with sensors and what not. He said it just doesn't have the same rumble as his normal exhausts and he wasn't sure how much, if any power gains were achieved.

Thumbs up

Bummer, just go a Butler Built cat back for now to get a nice rumble and I'm sure Norm will work out the dump issue in the near future and then you can get it put on later.

Thats doesnt sound too good for unlocking lots of extra power from the MY11

Sad news indeed
However you can get handling and suspension mods done while you wait for the dump pipe problem to be resolved

After picking up the car from Wheels World two days ago, I'll tell every MY11 owner that the first mods must be handling & suspension.

Feels more like a tank and less like a boat

22mm front and rear sway bars
front and rear end links
hsd coilovers
bump steer (roll centre) kit
control arm support brace

Had an alignment done and some camber dialed in.

I had lowering springs in my old wrx (08 hatch) and I wish that I had opted for coilovers instead.

So far so good!
I've always thought that coilovers would be a little bit too uncomfortable for a daily driver, but these aren't too harsh for my liking.

With the stock struts & springs I noticed that my head and upper body will move forwards and backwards a bit when I was accelerating or braking, this became more apparent the harder I was driving the car.
Since the coilovers are in, I haven't noticed my body moving any where near as much as it used to.

Pictures will come once I have cleaned the car, should be sometime this week.
Didn't get it slammed as much as Dave did, only lost about 20mm in ride height.
