I'm looking at a 207 block & crank on Sunday too

I'm prepared to go .040' (1mm) oversize on the bores, so fingers crossed.

DO you have particular machine shop in mind?

What are the doors for Rossco, new project/spares etc?

Very interested in this build of yours Rossco!

Will be in the same boat sooner or later (205 000kms) and was throwing up similar options.
I like to do all the work on my car, and learn about it all along the way. So far I have only done servicing, modifications and swapping parts etc, fairly keen to open up a block and learn about the internals.

As you go, post up plenty of pics and information to share :)

In my cars past life (before I bought it) Some cock kicked the drivers side rear door & creased it right where the anti-intrusion bar is, making it in accessable to repair... Other doors have 10 years of car park dents & sand rash....I need to get them sprayed but I canny afford it.

(Doors fell through :( )

Engine first!
