5 years old does not justify an alarm failure for so many ppl.

Brant should recall why should we have to pay to fix their shit product.

Don't get me wrong if it was a Hyundai or something I'd think oh it's a cheap car with cheap accessories but I mean come on.

Oh well nothing I can do I'll swap it over asap.

The lights staying on after the code is entered should never happen but? I read through the manual didn't look like a comon problem unless it forgets the code but I've dc the battery for 6 months when I was travelling and when I reconnected it there was no probs at all, plus wouldn't it remain forgotten not suddenly come back.

THat doesn't make sense, if the car was in new car warranty the faulty part would be replaced. Thats like me saying" my wrx is ten years old, but its not a Hyundai so Subaru should replace my wheel bearing". Its covered by new car warranty like the rest of the car.
Oh, and recall's are for items that could cause a dangerous situation if they fail because an identified fault. REmember the alarm rewire recall?

It would be interesting to see what the actual failure is. Probably find out its just a $20 part in most people's cases, but they end up replacing the whole alarm.

Given how many thousands of cars were sold with this system, it would be interesting to see the actual failure rate.
