For run in it should be on a mineral oil (non-synthetic) for the first 5000km.

Run 5w30 mobil 1 only after the first 5000km or you'll have blow by issues.

I actually asked Sean that very question just before they shut up shop for the Christmas break and he told me that unless they are asked/told otherwise they use Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic 5w50.
That is of course, for a motor already run in.

You would want to change your oil to a better one after the run in period.

It's a little more expensive than what others use but I use MOTUL 300V Chrono, SUBARU MOTORSPORT use it and rebrand it as their own so it must be good.

They actually come in 2 & 4lt bottles.

Oil price and how much your willing to pay comes down to how much you really care about your car.
