Default Heads - Shim under or over bucket

All,

How the hell do you tell if heads are shim over or under bucket, I am looking to buy some V6 Sti heads off eBay but don't want to get stuck with wrong heads!!

Can you tell by looking at a photo of them?

cheers

Did the seller use the good ole E-bay phrase "I've been told they are STi"

or the other favorite " Apparently they are STi" ........?

Hate fuckers that try to make an item sound more appealing without actually making a false statement.

^^Doug, he has since sent me an email stating that the heads are 100% shim under bucket, but the photos don't lie.

This is all getting too hard, I want heads as I can keep my old, perfectly good Sti engine complete, will make it easier to sell!!

Any solutions for me mate, is it a big job to convert normal 99/00 heads to shim under?

cheers
