Default ways to make boost come on quicker

I know all the obvious ones, p+p/smaller pipes/ceramic coat etc etc

Im more interested in aftermarket boost controllers or external wastegates?

Iv read how an aftermarket cotroller (avcr) can make boost come on more rapidly than the stock oem control ? I gather the bigger boost solenoid has something to do with it?

What advantages/disadvantages will it give me if i welded the internal gate shut and added a 40mm ext wastegate?

any1?

tode i dont think putting an external wastegate will make boost come on quicker.. it will only help maintain boost and prevent spikes when ur running alot of boost..

In saying that if u dont have exhaust gases flowing through the turbo then in theory the turbo would stay cooler with an external wastegate. Could this help spool i dont know??

Speak to stace....follow that route, when you've exhausted all those options go a v8. EBC will do bugger all difference, more stable boost control sure but it won't alter the course of physics.

My eboost 2 was able to help bring boost on a bit earlier. It can hold the gate closed for a little bit longer to help bring the boost on quicker.

Pretty sure thats how it went
