Default GC8 Maintenance Schedule

Hi Guys,

Ive just got my WRX - Seems I didnt notice that there was no logbook... oops..

Can anybody write up for me the milages at which it should be serviced at?
Currently has 173,000 on the clock, and checked by RaceTorque and everything is in good nick / not thrashed, including compression and leakdown tests.

Thanks all,
Cam.

Well - we will see.

I want to do an engine swap, just not in the next 6 to 12 months. I dont plan on abusing it - hopefully it lasts.

perhaps this is just me, but without a logbook, I would do a full service anyways, and in particular replace the timing belt. I read somewhere someone got 180k out of one before it snapped?

Thanks lads - I know what you mean rossco, when I said not thrashed, I meant 'not brutally abused to the point that the engine is going to split in 2'

Ill make my own logbook up and keep it in the car - Might not be official but better than nothing to keep track of things!

*Edit* Its going to STechnic for service this week. Have a list of small things that need fixing, like a broken foglamp and the sideskirt being loose. Window Tint is fucked on the passenger side too so will be calling up tint-a-car. Actually - Ill get some photos tonight and put em in the My Garage area.

Don't forget the upper head engine clearer at every oil change too.
