is that not a Hyperflow CAI? if so the instructions say that the AFM has to be facing towards the front of the car not to the top? if you can move it around try that and see what happens

Just looked at the hyperflow website and it does seem to be the same, just with a different pod on the end. I will swap it around and see how it goes.

The AFM will only fit one way, or the screw's wont line up. Thats how its designed.

Yeah, i just tried it and noticed that. I also took it for a drive and it's driving completely shit. One of my mates has an apexi dry pod on his car, so i will put that on mine this weekend and see how we go.

The AFM would still be stuffed though. You need to get a NEW one or borrow someone's that work & test that with a dry pod to make sure the problem goes away.

Theres one on Ebay right now for 160 plus postage, just compare the part number on the top of yours to the one thats for sale. I'm pretty sure they're the same.

All this talk of K&N's, might recharge mine this weekend.

Sure it's not your Brant alarm? I had same problem. Thought it was the AFM. Did the same thing you did, swapped with a friend, issues continued.

Changed plugs, Cam sensors, crank sensors, etc etc. Was the Brant control module. Intermittant spluttering. Very hard to pinpoint.

Good luck

Okay so i have a mate that has a motec ecu that does not require the AFM so it is just sitting there in working order but not brand new.

I also have a different mate that has an apexi pod filter.

Hopefully this weekend I will be able to borrow both items, I will try with just the pod and cleaning my AFM and see how i go, if it still drives crap i will swap the AFM over and try it again. If it has not improved, i will put the stock air box back on, and hopefully the problem will be solved.

If not, who wants to buy my car...?
