Default Impreza Help - GC series ej18.

Does anyone have any information to help me out please,

I need to change the front section of my exhaust on the old wagon, it has a EJ18. I have found 2 different fronts at the wreckers, 1 is for an EJ20, the other is an EJ16.

Will either of these front sections fit my 1.8 ? It's pretty rusty now and has a few leaks, and I want to quieten it down.

Thanks
Pete.

EJ15/16/18's are practically the same in many ways, cept for the swept volume.

that said, the EJ20 exhaust header should still fit- the flange locations are still the same.

Love the EJ18.. non-interference motor, as long as they have some semblance of oil in them, they will run pretty much forever.

Cool thanks Stace.

I'll just get the '16 version and cut and shut the rest of my exhaust ( has a wrx catback that doesn't line up at the flange.).

Pete.

Actually, does this mean the factory turbo manifolds theoretically fit too ?

thanks, but already picked these ones up, some new gaskets from Subaru and have fitted all the front section up

Tomorrow just need to reweld the flange on the WRX side as they don't line up, dremel out the 2 holes where the springs go on the flex joint, and that's it !

Was a heap easier then i thought, pretty happy !
