Yes you need an adapter, Mals, auto one, super crap ect sell them, Also throw the sca pod in the bin it wont give u any extra power or gain except louder induction noise, Go and pick up a K&N or HKS ect, and make sure it isnt an oiled filter.

Ok...

I'm confused. And still laughing about super cheap auto accessories.

But, put simply, if you want to improve induction, fit a silicon intake pipe onto the front end of the turbo. (L shaped, do a search for decent brands/prices).

Then you can fit a CAI, (cold air intake), from the air filter to the piece of pipe that holds the AFM, (as you aren't running MAP), and get the silicon short fat joiner, and you should be pretty well sussed.

Will need tune to compensate new air flow, however, will be more than worth it, for gain and induction noise.

Brent.

THe airbox on the 04's has the MAF housing moulded into the airbox lid. You would need a complete pod filter kit or cold air intake kit which then comes with the MAF housing. These are usually about 300-400 dollars.

Then you NEED a tune if you change the airbox and MAF housing, or engine damage can result.

EDIT: beaten by like four peep's

Oiled filters( K&N) are ok if they are not over oiled. The genuine SUbaru filter is oiled paper.
