I thought detectors were illegal now, or is the government in the process of making them illegal?

I got a whistler pro78 3 years ago and haven't had a fine since, i used to average 3 to 4 a year.
Lots of warning with the new poliscan unless its rear facing, when you get nothing until your on it. I reckon the v1 would be just as bad in this situation, as unless your lucky enough to get a laser reflection, there is no way of picking it up.
I'm sure the v1 is slightly better for multinova but the pro78 was several hundred cheaper.

Although it doesn't happen all the time I have gotten laser scatter alerts from Poliscans set up in the reverse of my direction of travel.

Simply next to none now Kato.

X band off
K band off (except when country driving)
Ka band on (just in case I get a old multi set up)
Laser on.

Once in a blue moon I'll get a Ka band warning when I pass another vehicle with a radar detector which is false.

Ah, I couldn't drive around locally with K band off these days.

Too many microwaves on the dashes of random cars...

I don't have K-band on anymore, unless driving down south.

Best band for buck = Escort X50 but with the Aussie dollar so great you may as well pick up a V1
