Fair enough mate. a lot of companies come up with their own numbers/specs for batteries, though if it fits it is all good

double check the battery terminals, I'm sure some earlier GCs at least came with different sized terminals ADM vs JDM

just had to change the one in my RA-R. Had a date stamped on it from 09. I guess having a small battery isn't the best idea some times.

Thought I'd let other people know just in case they were curious or looking for a new battery themselves.

I've decided to go with a "Super Charge - Gold" battery instead of the AC Delco, reason being is the Super Charge Gold MF75D23L has more CCA's (Cold Cranking Amps), the AC Delco in the S55B24L has 440 CCA and the SC Gold has 610 CCA.

Both batteries are also sealed and no maintenance and also the SC Gold comes with 3yr warranty where as the Ac Delco has 30mths (2.5yrs).

So for the extra price of $19.10 you get another 270 CCA's as Coventry's price on the AC Delco was $119+ GST = $130.90 (ordered in) and the SC Gold direct from Super Charge in Bayswater is $150 (in stock) usually $169 at Auto1 etc.

Here's the link to the SC Gold:

I have a similar issue at the moment where my battery quite knackered. I only drive the wrx once a week and everytime I do, I have to start it with a jump pack. I will decide between the AC Delco and the Super Charge Gold but more leaning towards the AC Delco.

Super Charge without a doubt, more cramming amps, longer warranty and cheaper price if you buy direct in Bayswater ($120).

I use my car between1-2 times in a ftn and holds its charge well unlike the factory battery I had.

Muggz had a flat one the other day and took it in and they replaced it with a new one and didn't even ask for a receipt or proof of purchase.

so the supercharge gold also has a 12 month shelf life without charging like the AC Delco?
ACDelco Australia

I called the bayswater store today under my company's name and quoted me $130+GST...where as you got it for $120 retail...

When I went in they said cash was $120 and I also got the same as you when I rang up and was told the price was more plus gst, just go in and say my mate got one for $120 not long ago.

Knowing you're using a business they prob quoted more like a lot of businesses do.

Up to you in the end, I just thought I'd say my 2c and tell you I got it cheaper when I went in.
