Wondering if you have simply overfilled the system.
Look for the obvious leaks first and fix that if any, such as hoses and clamps.
If it's overheating though it could be sending coolant to the overflow and dumping it.

If none of the above you might need to take a look at the thermostat.

i put all seven liters in and only just filled the radiator. lol think thats somehow the problem... ill pull it out again in a bit and check all the clamps, double them up - is there a thread with proper way to check thermostat/waterpump/whatever else it could be ?

Doubt you cooked the motor, doubt u overfilled it haha, probably bottom hose not tight, i eould get a proper clamp.
Depending were you live i can swing past and have a look and fix it after i finish work.

hillarys - yeah, ill go get some clamps now, proberly some coolant as weelll (getting $$$) if it do get it all going good before 5, rekon its work a wander to maximum for a quick pressure test? i want steve to look go for a drive to look at my sloppy gearbox anyway

Check that you haven't worn a hole through the top rubber hose. Installing a thicker rad makes the rubber hose come a lot closer to the belts and fans.

Might need a new hose and trim it to fit without rubbing.

mmm^maybe. thats actully a good point, where can i get new hoses from today? im not buying shit from over east again and wait 4 weeks for it to get here!
